McCain will be greener than Bush – Fiorina

Putative president has  green belt.

Republican party candidate for president, John McCain, is to be greener than his predecessor and party-mate George

W. Bush – if he wins the 2008 election.

Today, McCain is to set out his position and, "discuss the specifics of his position on global climate change Monday, as well as his support for a bipartisan landmark climate change bill currently moving through congress," according to Wired.

"This is an area where John McCain differs pretty substantially from the (Bush) administration," said Carly Fiorina, McCain’s chief economic adviser.

Fiorina is best-known for her rôle at computer manufacturer Hewlett Packard where she presided over a merger with Compaq, followed by slowing performance. She was dismissed in 2004. Fiorina has been tipped for vice president if McCain wins the 2008 presidential election.
